The New Testament begins with book of Matthew and the birth of Jesus. These stories provide the basis for the commentary that follows. It’s perfect to start with Matthew rather than Mark, which was written first. Matthew’s message is the Jesus really is the Messiah. This is the first understanding we need to truly believe in His life as our example.
