WORKSHEETS

The Daily Practice Worksheets enable you to become the kind of person who can help the world through their connection to the Holy Spirit. When you begin this process, you need to ask yourself if you are the type of person who says, “I have to do ALL this???” or if you are the type of person who says, “This is all I have to do?” The answer to that question can estimate whether you will engage in this process. If you are unsure of which category you are in, one thing is for sure, if you do engage in the Daily Practice, the answer will become clear.

This is how to start the Daily Practice:
Subscribe to the podcast and listen to the episodes in order.

  1. Download and print the 13-page PDF titled Beginning the Daily Practice. The individual documents are also available below. You will need to replace/reprint documents in the practice as you complete the sheets.
  2. Devote time each day, preferably in the morning before you start your day to fill out the Daily Practice form. Any time you can spend will be beneficial but it is a good idea to plan on at least an hour to complete the practice.
  3. Keeping a record is of great importance. Its relevance will be revealed as you go deeper. If you record the process, you will have the accurate record to review when you need it. And you will need it.
  4. Place the written documents in a binder for storage or keep an electronic file.

The goals of the Daily Practice are practical for living in this world. No matter where you are in each of these skills within the Daily Practice, if you engage with a conscious desire to get better, you will. These are the qualities of people that the Holy Spirit can use easily:

  • They know the intended direction for their life and their day.
  • They have the ability to prioritize tasks and see which activity and task is most important.
  • They have verbal discipline and understand fully that what they say creates; spoken words are a big factor in determining the outcome of events.
  • They know and understand the pattern that Jesus set for humans and why it is important.
  • They have the ability to be mentally and physically still.
  • They have an ability to update their knowledge by specifically evaluating where they have been judgmental and where their thinking has been wrong.
  • They can forgive and ask for forgiveness.
  • They can stop doing things that hinder and obstruct their progress toward their goals.
  • They understand prayer as a conversation with God and they can pray in multiple ways.
  • They are grateful for many things, large and small, and express their gratitude specifically and in the moment.
  • They have the discipline to record their progress in writing.

We can all see the following characteristics in other people and know that they could use to work on themselves, and that really isn’t interesting or beneficial. What is interesting is when you can see yourself here and turn that laser beam on yourself to see if you have any of these issues.

If this describes you in any way, you can benefit from the Daily Practice.

  • You don’t know where you are in life or what you are here to accomplish. Your direction, passion, and purpose have not yet been revealed to you.
  • You cannot ascertain the correct priorities for the day, a task, or your life.
  • You find yourself being undisciplined when you speak, saying whatever you want, gossiping, being negative, and subverting the creative power of your words by the justification that it is funny or “true.”
  • You refuse to read the bible.
  • You find it difficult to be physically still.
  • You find it difficult to be mentally still.
  • You do not act on your own best advice.
  • You find yourself regularly saying, “I know” a lot and consistently think you are right about life.
  • You find it difficult to directly and specifically apologize, and do not see reasons to do so on a daily basis.
  • You have physical addictions that confound you because you continue to indulge in them.
  • You overthink, and cannot seem to stop the stream of words and instructions in your mind.
  • You find it difficult to ask God specifically for what you need.
  • You only have one or two ways of praying.
  • You neglect to regularly say “Thank you.”
  • Your world is dull and each day feels mundane.
  • You lack the discipline to keep journals of your thoughts and activities.
